YOUNG FILMS is a dynamic, Independent film production company focused on the production of films that appeal to an international audience.
Founded by Carla Altieri and Roberto De Paolis in 2014 in Rome, the Company's curricula has ranges from shorts films, documentaries, features and more recently, TV series.
Carla has been a production manager and line producer for over 15 years and has worked on some of the most important films of the last decade including Alice Rohrwacher's Le Meraviglie, Philippe Garrel's Un été brulant, John Turturro's Passion and Il Divo by Paolo Sorrentino.
Roberto is a film director and photographer. His works have been exhibited in Art Galleries and Museums around the world and his first feature Cuori Puri was selected and presented at the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
The two producers first met when Roberto shot his two shorts, Bassa Marea and Alice, which Carla line produced. Both films were presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Carla and Roberto strongly believe that producing and directing are two sides of the same coin: the creative and productive approach become a single vision, the basis of cinematographic creation.
Directing as a creative way to produce and producing as a pragmatic way to direct. The successful match between these two aspects is what sets a film on the right track.
